Tampere University of Applied Sciences is the second largest university of applied sciences in Finland. We have almost 12 000 students and more than 800 staff members. Applied CleanTech (ACT) is a multidisciplinary research group focused on developing and commercializing applied clean‑technology solutions. Its mission is to create solutions that support a carbon‑neutral future for industry and society. ACT’s research covers, for instance, CO₂ capture and utilization, hydrogen production and safety, biomass and side‑stream processing, and circular‑economy and industrial‑process optimization.
