BIOGRAPHY

Roman van Laak is the Project Manager for Bio-Energy, Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage (BECCUS) at RWE. He leads the early-stage development of the BECCUS project at RWE’s Eemshavencentrale biomass co-firing plant in the Netherlands, combining sustainable biomass with carbon capture and permanent storage.

Roman oversees initiatives that include securing long-term biomass sourcing, constructing large-scale carbon capture infrastructure, and coordinating the transport and storage of captured biogenic carbon. His work drives RWE’s commitment to a carbon-neutral energy future.
